Enemies and Playmates
When the abused decide to fight back, the abuser's world might just shatter.
Lauren Covington's family maintains a grand facade that belies the life they live behind closed doors. Alex Covington, Lauren's father, keeps a tight rein on his family through dominance, abuse, and obsessive control. Consequently, Lauren doesn't believe she could ever trust a man, much less fall in love with one.
When Lauren meets Jesse Ryder, her carefully constructed protective wall shatters. She falls hopelessly and completely in love. It's only fitting that Jesse is a private detective who had once worked for her father, had defied him, and was now the subject of Alex Covington's wrath.
Amidst devastating loss, betrayal, and her father's destructive pursuit of Jesse, Lauren finds the trust and love she had always longed for.

Lose the Weight
Wheat Belly: Lose the Wheat, Lose the Weight, and Find Your Path Back to HealthBy William Davis
A renowned cardiologist explains how eliminating wheat from our diets can prevent fat storage, shrink unsightly bulges, and reverse myriad health problems.
Every day, over 200 million Americans consume food products made of wheat. As a result, over 100
million of them experience some form of adverse health effect, ranging from minor rashes and high blood sugar to the unattractive stomach bulges that preventive cardiologist William Davis calls “wheat bellies.” According to Davis, that excess fat has nothing to do with gluttony, sloth, or too much butter: It’s due to the whole grain wraps we eat for lunch.

After witnessing over 2,000 patients regain their health after giving up wheat, Davis reached the disturbing conclusion that wheat is the single largest contributor to the nationwide obesity epidemic—
and its elimination is key to dramatic weight loss and optimal health. In Wheat Belly, Davis exposes the harmful effects of what is actually a product of genetic tinkering and agribusiness being sold to the
American public as “wheat”—and provides readers with a user-friendly, step-by-step plan to navigate a new, wheat-free lifestyle.

Informed by cutting-edge science and nutrition, along with case studies from men and women who
have experienced life-changing transformations in their health after waving goodbye to wheat, Wheat
Belly is an illuminating look at what is truly making Americans sick and an action plan to clear our plates of this seemingly benign ingredient.

Mill River Recluse
The Mill River Recluse
By Darcie Chan
Disfigured by the blow of an abusive husband, and suffering her entire life with severe social anxiety disorder, the widow Mary McAllister spends almost sixty years secluded in a white marble mansion overlooking the town of Mill River, Vermont. Her links to the outside world are few: the mail, the media, an elderly priest with a guilty habit of pilfering spoons, and a bedroom window with a view of the town below. Most longtime residents of Mill River consider the marble house and its occupant peculiar, though insignificant, fixtures. An arsonist, a covetous nurse, and the endearing village idiot are among the few who have ever seen Mary. Newcomers to Mill River--a police officer and his daughter and a new fourth grade teacher--are also curious about the reclusive old woman. But only Father Michael O'Brien knows Mary and the secret she keeps--one that, once revealed, will change all of their lives forever.
The Mill River Recluse is a story of triumph over tragedy, one that reminds us of the value of friendship and the ability of love to come from the most unexpected of places.

When Consumers Buy: Anytime is a Good Buy at Amazon
It is important to know when consumers purchase goods and services. There are several points to consider. Some consumers shop at a certain time of the year. Some consumers make their purchases at certain days of the month. And to some extent, some consumers prefer to shop at certain hours of the day.
Some goods and services are only popular during during festive seasons, and as such, consumers purchase on a seasonal basis. Thus, the retailer must adapt to the store's buying and inventory to this habit.
The overall amount of family and the age groups within the family are important social factors which influence the buyers purchasing and consumption patterns. Some families have a large amount of income; others may be at or near the poverty level. Supplies could be growing at a faster rate than before. Desires to buy wants is getting stronger than needs. Online shopping is thus helpful to buyers in time to come since full products details, full product descriptions, and uncensored customers reviews are available to anyone with a click of the mouse with buyers's wishes or preferences.

It may temporarily improve the symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis and psoriasis. It also assists in the relief of the symptoms of headache, chronic fatigue syndrome, irritable bowel syndrome, ringing in the ears (tinnitus), eczema and allergies.
These are readable in the packaging.
At Blooms, we routinely test our Omega 3 Natural Fish Oil products for chemicals that find their way into the environment. The Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) requires a minimum amount of testing, which in itself is fairly rigorous.

Thinking, Fast and Slow
Thinking, Fast and Slow
By Daniel Kahneman
Product Description
Daniel Kahneman, recipient of the Nobel Prize in Economic Sciences for his seminal work in psychology that challenged the rational model of judgment and decision making, is one of our most important thinkers. His ideas have had a profound and widely regarded impact on many fields—including business, medicine, and politics—but until now, he has never brought together his many years of research and thinking in one book.
In the highly anticipated Thinking, Fast and Slow, Kahneman takes us on a groundbreaking tour of the mind and explains the two systems that drive the way we think and make choices. System 1 is fast, intuitive, and emotional; System 2 is slower, more deliberative, and more logical. Kahneman exposes the extraordinary capabilities—and also the faults and biases—of fast thinking, and reveals the pervasive influence of intuitive impressions on our thoughts and behavior. The importance of properly framing risks at work and at home, the effects of cognitive biases on how we view others, the difference between our experiencing and remembering selves and its impact on happiness, the role of loss aversion in playing the stock market—each of these can be understood only by knowing how the two systems work together to shape our judgments and decisions.
Engaging the reader in a lively conversation about how we think, Kahneman reveals where we can and cannot trust our intuitions and how we can tap into the benefits of slow thinking. He offers practical and enlightening insights into how choices are made in both our business and our personal lives—and how we can use different techniques to guard against the mental glitches that often get us into trouble. Thinking, Fast and Slow will transform the way you think about thinking.

Hire-Purchase Contract
A HIRE-PURCHASE contract is a contract by which goods are delivered to a person who agrees to make periodical payments by way of hire, with an option of buying the goods after the stated hire instalments have been paid.
The goods may be returned to the owner at any time before the option is exercised, on payment of the sum stated in the contract. Until the option is exercised there is no agreement to buy the goods.
The hire-purchase contract thus consists of three parts:
The goods may be returned to the owner at any time before the option is exercised, on payment of the sum stated in the contract. Until the option is exercised there is no agreement to buy the goods.
The hire-purchase contract thus consists of three parts:
- a contract of bailment under which the hirer obtains possesion of the goods, which remain in the ownership of the owner, and is thus enabled to use them before they are fully paid.
- an option in favour of the hirer entitling him, after payment of the periodical instalments and usually for a nominal consideration, to purchase the goods.
- and, if the hirer exercises the option, a contract of sale making him the owner of the goods already in his possession.
