Cold rolled stainless steels SUS304 is ready in different finishes. 2B finishes provide a bright, smooth cold-rolled finishing obtained by skinpass rolling after annealing and pickling. Meanwhile, BA finishes provide a highly reflective finish produced by cold rolling, bright annealing and skinpass rolling. A blurr finishing, the Hairline Finish is done by a special polished finish having continuous lines produced with abrasives.

In common sizes, abrasives paper sheet dimesion is 230mm by 280mm. These sheets of abrasives are divided into varying grades and numbered as 100, 120, 180, 240 and so on. The number run to as high as 1,000. The higher the figure, the finer the abrasive sheet. Surely, the finer the sheets, the appearance is better; more shining and better reflective power.

The mechanical properties described a tensile stress of minimum 515 N/mm square, a proof stress of 205 N/mm square, an elongation of % minimum 40 while the hardness HRB is maximum at 92. Bendability's bending angle is not required and the inside radius is not applicable.

2B is used for medical equipments, in the food industry, as construction materials, and for kitchen utensil. BA is used for kitchen utensils, electric equipment and building constructions. The number 8, finished by using very fine abrasive polish and buff to produce a sheet with bright mirror-like surfaces is used as reflector, mirrors, elevator doors, interior or exterior decoration for buildings and is also used for arts purposes.
